We have been going non-stop now that we are getting back into the routine.
Kaya is starting back to diving 2 days a week. Keidis is doing basketball 2 days a week. Ophelia has tot ballet once a week. Then we rotate in art lessons, wildwood classes (these are classes for home schoolers around social studies and science themes like passport to the world and Christmas around the world), swimming lessons, curling, snowboarding. It sounds busy and I guess it is, but because we are home all together all day it doesn't seem like it!
I guess it catching up with one of us at least though!

Trip to britannia mine museum
On our way to whistler, we stopped at the museum. It is pretty cool. We took the train tour into the tunnels and learned about mining and how it worked, how it impacted the environment and the people who worked and lived there. It was really neat!

Sunny days
We often spend an hour playing tag at a small park by our house. It is a two minute walk and loads of fun! As the weather had been improving, we have enjoyed a few sunny days here

Snow Walk
What happens when you lock your keys in the van, it's snowing outside, and your daughter has to be at her diving class? You walk of course!
Last week kaya had a bit of trouble at diving. She ended up doing a back flop which really hurt. All week I have been pumping her up to go again, talking about how she can do hard things. If there is a week that I didn't want her to miss, it is today.
Alas the usually 5 minute (but took 20 in the snow without a stroller) walk may have been in vain since her coach lives far away and couldn't make it so she may not try the dive she fell on this week.
Well it was a fun adventure regardless.

Book books and more books
A few years ago I was dropping kaya off at school and one mom was just raving about her new discovery - the library.
Did you know they let you borrow books for free? she said with incredulity.
Did I know? Are you kidding me? I love the library. I have spent countless hours reading, browsing, doing homework, & socializing (thx university) at libraries. I have paid so many library fines in my life that I should own a library. Did I know? Ha!
My love for the library has trickled down to my children and we all look forward to our weekly library trips where the kids pick close to 20-30 books to bring home each time. My fave part of going to the library is coming home. If I ever want an hour of quiet, we head to the library, bring home our haul, and settle in to read them all! Wonderful. Here they are after our most recent visit. This is only some of the books, the rest are in piles to be read.

Snowboarding
Kaya and Keidis took 3 days worth of lessons at Mt Seymour this week. They loved it. Keidis came out sweaty and smiley & Kaya declared that she hopes Santa will bring her a board, bindings, and boots.
